Fostering Growth and Unity Through Education
We stand at the confluence of two nations unified by an unparalleled story - a narrative where education serves as a powerful beacon of love, cooperation, and pride. A revered president who cherished education and people bound by faith laid the foundations of an educational system that has enriched countless lives. Join us in narrating the remarkable journey of CEL, an emblem of hope and an inspiration for communities worldwide.
In a world increasingly skeptical of organized religion, our project shines a light on the monumental contributions of the United Methodist Church (UMC) and the resolute Women of Faith. Together with their counterparts in Argentina, they have woven a rich tapestry of benevolence and advancement in both nations. Through this film, we aspire to rejuvenate the image of churches and celebrate the indelible mark they have left on the sphere of education, fostering a better world hand in hand.
Vision: This documentary will delve into the reciprocal relationship between our nations, showcasing the transformative impact of joint missionary endeavors and the pivotal role education plays in uplifting communities and nations alike.
Mission: To broadcast the noble endeavors and divine messages propagated by the UMC, IEMA, and CEL. This film stands as a beacon of hope, illustrating the boundless possibilities that stem from prioritizing education and fostering global partnerships for the greater good
Armed with an envy for the practices in education he observed in developed countries, President Sarmiento laid a foundation for public education. Sarmiento encouraged immigration and diversity in educators. His vision was brought to fruition through the hard work of the Methodist missionary society who advocated for equal accessibility for girls of all ages.
Today the vision of the President and the Preachers Wife has led to numerous schools spread across Argentina.
The original school founded in Rosario will celebrate its 150th anniversary in May of 2025.
